In the midst of national hardship and uncertainty, the Rotaract Club of Aley launched a simple yet powerful initiative: “A Message of Hope.” This heartfelt project, led by Club Service Director Sarjoun Chehayeb, reminded Rotaractors across Lebanon and beyond that even in the darkest moments, compassion and connection can light the way.
With the goal of uplifting spirits and spreading positivity, the project allowed participants to send anonymous or named messages of support, encouragement, and solidarity. Whether addressed to a friend or a fellow Rotaractor chosen at random, these messages offered a gentle reminder: you are not alone.
Over 90 messages were submitted through a dedicated form and delivered directly via WhatsApp, each one carefully crafted using a personalized template designed for warmth and comfort. The messages crossed clubs, regions, and even borders—uniting Rotaractors from all walks of life through the universal language of kindness.
This initiative wasn’t just about sending words. It was about nurturing emotional well-being, reinforcing the fabric of the Rotaract community, and standing together during times of crisis. It served as a digital embrace—a way to say, “We see you. We’re with you.”
“A Message of Hope” perfectly reflects Rotaract Club of Aley’s commitment to Extending Legacies, not only through service, but through care. It is a lasting testament to the club’s ability to lead with empathy and to strengthen the bonds that sustain us—especially when it matters most.
As we continue to navigate uncertain times, this project leaves a clear message behind: even one thoughtful sentence, sent with love, can make someone’s day—and sometimes, that’s all it takes to keep hope alive.
