Beads of Strength

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Rotaract Aley proudly hosted a creative and meaningful workshop titled Beads of Strength—an initiative that combined artistic expression with empowerment, community engagement, and skill-building.

This inspiring event was held in collaboration with LN Design, a local female-led business committed to community upliftment. Lea, the founder of LN Design, generously sponsored and led the workshop, guiding participants through the hands-on process of handmade jewelry-making—a skill that sparks creativity and holds potential for entrepreneurship.

With 10 participants in attendance and 4 members supporting its implementation, the event brought together a community of learners and creators. From crafting beads to designing unique accessories, participants gained new insights into the world of small-scale artisan work—an avenue that can lead to income generation, personal growth, and creative self-expression.

This project tackled more than just craft—it addressed:

What made Beads of Strength especially meaningful was its alignment with Rotaract Aley’s tradition of honoring Women’s Day each year. By offering a space for creativity, connection, and collaboration, this initiative directly supports our long-term vision of Extending Legacies—not only by engaging members in impactful experiences, but also by strengthening community partnerships. As part of that effort, LN Design has pledged to donate 10% of its profit from the workshop to future community service projects.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Bahaa Hilal, our dedicated Professional Development Director, for organizing and leading this initiative with thoughtfulness and energy. His efforts helped transform a celebration into an opportunity for lasting impact.

At its core, Beads of Strength reminds us that creativity has power—that small beads can carry big meaning when they symbolize learning, resilience, and the strength we share as a community.
