In times of crisis, the true spirit of service reveals itself. The Rotaract Club of Aley, in collaboration with Ebel es Saqi Youth and Nature (ESYN) and Lze2a, launched a heartfelt Medicine Drive to support families displaced by the ongoing conflict in Ebl El Saqi, South Lebanon.
This project was born from a pressing need: war-affected families lacked access to essential medical care and supplies, putting their health and well-being at risk. Responding to this humanitarian crisis, our club mobilized quickly and effectively, showing how collaboration and compassion can bring tangible relief.
With the support of the ongoing Shop Aal Lebnene fundraiser and a generous discount from Lze2a, we were able to procure and distribute around 60 vital medical items, ranging from first-aid supplies to chronic disease medications, directly to the families who needed them most.
These efforts not only addressed urgent health concerns, but also contributed to broader goals such as:
Though modest in budget, the Medicine Drive was significant in impact. It exemplifies our club’s vision of extending legacies by continuing to serve vulnerable communities, especially in moments of acute need. It also reaffirmed our commitment to Rotaract values, standing in solidarity, responding with empathy, and making a difference where it truly matters.
The Medicine Drive is not just a one-time event, it is part of an ongoing humanitarian initiative that we intend to build upon. Each act of service lays a foundation of hope, and each life touched reaffirms why we do what we do.
