When culture meets community, magic happens and Men Tyre 3a Anfeh was exactly that. Rooted in the legacy of the beloved "Tyre 3a Sour" series, this year’s event took on a fresh twist by heading north to Anfeh, a coastal gem mirroring Tyre’s charm and history.
With ongoing challenges in the South, the organizing clubs united to preserve the spirit of exploration and connection by selecting Anfeh as an alternative destination. Known for its salt marshes, ancient ruins, and seaside serenity, Anfeh became the perfect stage for a day filled with discovery, joy, and togetherness.
The day began early, with buses picking up participants from Tyre, Saida, and Beirut. Upon arriving in Anfeh, we were welcomed by Sami, a local guide from Anfeh Guide by Sami, who gave us a tour rich in history and local anecdotes. Our first stop was the famous Mela7at (Tahet el Ri7), the salt marshes of Anfeh, where we learned about the area’s "white gold" and its importance to local heritage and economy.
Next came a visit to Evaura, a charming shop featuring salt-based products, and then to Deir Saydet El Natour, a historic monastery and salt-producing site. To keep us fueled, Furn Emm Salim served a warm, traditional Lebanese breakfast that hit all the right notes.
The cultural exploration continued with a guided walk through the Phoenician Ruins, giving participants a glimpse into Anfeh’s ancient past. Then, the group made their way to Chez Adel beach, where a vibrant lunch of seafood and local delicacies awaited.
Post-lunch, the beachside came alive with music by DJ Yarhan, laughter, and dancing as Rotaractors from across Lebanon celebrated under the sun. In collaboration with Ken Cosmetics, we added a touch of self-care to the day distributing face masks to participants and awarding five lucky winners with high-quality sunscreens.
With 24 club members, 5 guests, and dozens of memories made, the event was not only a success it was a testament to the power of continuity, collaboration, and community spirit.
Men Tyre 3a Anfeh is more than an annual event. It's a movement, uniting Rotaractors in meaningful cultural experiences that reinforce shared values and friendships. Year after year, this project continues to evolve while staying true to its core: exploring Lebanon’s beauty, supporting local communities, and building connections that last far beyond a single day.
We left Anfeh with smiles, stories, and a renewed commitment to discovering the best our country has to offer together.
