RAC Revives

Great communities are built not only by what we create—but by how we care for what already exists. Through our RAC Revives initiative, Rotaract Aley renewed its commitment to sustainable community development by renovating two key public spaces: the bus stop in Aley and the outdoor gym in Saoufar.

Both spaces were originally launched by our club in previous years. Over time, however, they fell into disrepair, limiting their effectiveness and accessibility. Recognizing this need, we mobilized to restore them—offering improved safety, functionality, and a renewed sense of pride for the local population.

The project supports multiple Rotary Areas of Focus:

Funded entirely by dedicated Rotaract Aley members, and executed with the help of a professional handyman team, this project benefited the entire population of the Aley governorate—offering accessible transportation solutions and wellness opportunities free of charge.

Seven members actively participated in the implementation, and their teamwork ensured that both the bus stop and gym were not only functional, but welcoming and durable for future use.

More than a renovation, RAC Revives is a testament to the power of sustaining and upgrading legacy projects. By investing in what we’ve already built, we strengthen the foundation of trust, access, and care in our community. This initiative lives up to our vision of Extending Legacies—keeping our impact alive through responsible maintenance and thoughtful evolution.

A sincere thank you goes to Karine Ichtay ,the director of the Community Committee, whose leadership made this project possible. Their unwavering support and coordination reflect our shared belief that every act of service, no matter how big or small, has the power to revive lives.
