Skill & Chill

In honor of World Mental Health Day, the Rotaract Club of Aley organized Skill & Chill, a relaxing and expressive craft workshop designed to promote creativity, mindfulness, and meaningful social connection among members. Held at Nadi Community Coffee Shop and led in collaboration with Sunflower Crafts, the session offered a calm and uplifting space for participants to unwind and reconnect with themselves and each other.

Guided by the talented Nour Tarbay, members selected a craft item of their choice and personalized it with their own painted designs, allowing them to express individuality while learning new artistic techniques. Nour provided step-by-step support throughout the workshop, helping participants choose their colors, develop their concepts, and refine their final artwork. The warm and friendly atmosphere encouraged creativity, open conversation, and teamwork, turning the workshop into both an artistic and social experience.

Beyond the creative aspect, the project highlighted the importance of mental wellbeing. It served as a gentle reminder that art can act as a form of therapy, helping individuals release stress, express emotions, and find inner calm. Members enjoyed a much-needed break from their routines, discovering how creativity and community engagement can work hand-in-hand to support mental health.

The event concluded with gratitude, shared joy, and beautifully crafted pieces that reflected the spirit of the day. Special appreciation goes to Sunflower Crafts for their partnership, and to Project Leader Karine Ichtay for thoughtfully guiding this meaningful initiative. Skill & Chill succeeded in creating an uplifting environment where creativity, wellness, and connection came together in a memorable and impactful way.
